Just wanted to say, we had a thoroughly enjoyable stay and you both are wonderful at hosting guests. The room was awesome, the food was divine!! The omelettes were mouthwatering and the extras superb.
What you offer your guests is beyond anyone's expectations and we will one day be back again to stay.

I have had a great stay here at Amber House, in the Blue Room. This room has all I need and makes it a lovely spot to wind down after a long day. The owners are more than happy to cater for my needs, a lovely couple, with it only being a short walk to the centre of town, and to the water front, it is in a beautiful location. A great stay indeed!

Vsem morebitnim slovenskim gostom toplo priporocam nocitev v tej prelepi hisi, lastnika sta res nadvse prijazna in vam bosta z veseljem pomagala z nasveti o mestu in krajih, kjer dobite izvrstno lokalno hrano in postrezbo.
I had a great stay at Amber House while in Nelson. I must say the owners are a lovely couple, and besides a very comfortable house, all the suggestions I got about the town, including treks, where to eat and have a drink were spot on. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Amber House as a place to stay while in Nelson, it was truly a great experience and I got the best night's sleep ever!

For what I paid for my stay, Amber House felt luxurious. It was tasteful, clean and quiet and I got a lot of helpful hints and ideas about what to do in Nelson. The owners were welcoming and friendly. I'd recommend it to anyone staying in Nelson, especially as the centre of town was within walking distance.

Ueber Silvester waren wir in Nelson, wo wir einen sehr komfortablen Aufenthalt im Amber House genossen haben. Die Zimmer sind aeusserst sauber und das reichhaltige fruehstueck war richtig lecker. Ich wuerde jedem das Amber House weiterempfehlen!
We celebrated New Years Eve in Nelson and had a very comfortable stay at the Amber House. The rooms are absolutely clean and the various breakfast was delicious. I would recommend anyone to stay at the Amber House!

My wife, son and I enjoyed a wonderful stay at Amber House during January 2011. Before we even arrived,our hosts, forwarded us travel advice on the sights to see on our road trip to Nelson. Our arrival was most welcoming and our accommodation very comfortable. G arranged to have our washing done, and offered informative advice on the local sights and restaurants. Only a short walk to the centre of town, Amber House is the ideal place to stay for anyone visting Nelson. With lovely rooms, reasonable rates and perfect hosts I would recommend a stay at Amber House to anyone travelling NZ.

We stayed in the blue room for one night to round off a ten day holiday in the nelson area: great room, beautiful house and lovely welcome without it being overbearing. The cooked breakfast was scrummy although we had to forego the soda bread, so not really an ulster fry anymore. Delicious nonetheless. Ideally situated in Nelson, with an easy walk to the town centre but not too close to be noisy. Would definitely stay here again and recommend it wholeheartedly.

I had to spend a night in Nelson unexpectedly due to flooding in Golden Bay. The Amber B&B made the experience very pleasant. The room was lovely and spacious, my hosts were helpful and courteous, and I had an excellent night's sleep and breakfast in the morning. I would definitely stay there again and recommend it to friends. Thanks!

What a fantastic find! Amber House is friendly, spacious and unpretentious. Location is very good (10mins walk to Founders, 15 mins to Town Centre) and a bus stop right outside. were very kind and helpful and their B&B is value for money. I look forward to returning for the Rugby in Nelson.
